Elizabeth H. Koehler, 83, of Country Meadows, Bethlehem and formerly of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in her son’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gerald Koehler who passed away in July 2014.
Born in Herdorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agatha (Schlosser) Latsch. Elizabeth was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She worked for George’s Foodliner in the meat department for more than 35 years until retiring. Elizabeth was a member of St. Thomas UCC, Bethlehem. She enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, playing pinochle and trips to Myrtle Beach. Elizabeth loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a compassionate, selfless and giving person and will be deeply missed by all she touched.
Survivors: daughters, Deborah A. Ferenchak and her husband, Joe of Bethlehem and Patricia M. Koehler of Lower Nazareth; a son, Michael G. Koehler and his wife, Terry of Bath; 6 grandchildren, Jarad Haupt, Justin Haupt, Kelly Burkhart, Preston, Emily and Benjamin Koehler; 6 great-grandchildren, Mason, Elizabeth, Logan, James, Haylee and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Haupt, son in law Kerry Haupt, an infant son, brother Felix Latsch and sisters Marie Sewell, Ida Follweiler Barone and Helen Latsch.
