It is with great sorrow we announce the death of Elizabeth (Ginger) A. Dyeak, from Florence, Colorado.  She passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 80.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J Dyeak, and her parents.  Elizabeth and Joseph raised their family in Methuen, Massachusetts, and after Joseph’s death, Elizabeth made the move to Colorado, which quickly became her home.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Karen Regan, of Florence and her son Joseph Dyeak of Merrimac, Massachusetts, grandson Konnor Regan of Westcliffe and granddaughter Alanna Regan of Pueblo, and former son-in-law, David Regan, of Florence. One of her greatest joys was to be in Colorado and close to her grandkids.  She was so proud of her family and what they have accomplished.

Elizabeth’s life work was dedicated to the medical field.  She loved people and people loved her.  She always had a smile on her face and didn’t know a stranger.  She could and would strike up a conversation with anyone.  Some of her favorite things were reading, watching her favorite TV shows, and enjoying breakfast or dinner out with family and friends.  Elizabeth had an affection for animals, especially dogs.  Ginger will be sadly missed by her family and friends.  We will never forget your big purse and the good times we had.  You’re in our hearts forever.

The family wishes to thank the following people for the excellent care and compassion they have shown over the past months while caring for Elizabeth:  Dr. Anna Chollet, St. Thomas More Physicians Group; Billie, RN, Wound Care, St. Thomas More Physicians Group; Matthew and Gunter with Encompass Home Care; and at Penrose Hospital all the doctors, nurses, and chaplain Ginger on the 10th floor and in ICU.
