VAN VOORST, Elizabeth F. “Betty” Of Kalamazoo. Passed away Saturday afternoon, November 20, 2010 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Betty was born November 11, 1956 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of Dr. C. L. Dunmire and Trudi Snedden.
She was employed for 31 years at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and spent several years working at Sam’s Club. Betty’s greatest joy in life was being a mom, and taking care of her children and family.
Surviving are her children, Chad and Jennifer Starbuck-VanVoorst, Josh VanVoorst, Jennifer VanVoorst all of Kalamazoo, 2 step-grandchildren, Andrew and Jonathan Newell; her mother, Trudi Snedden; sisters and brother, Debra Carbaugh of Seneca, PA, Sandra Lieb of State College, PA, David and Sherri Dunmire of Viginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Dr. C. L. Dunmire.
