Elizabeth E. Rogers, April 16, 1926 – April 26, 2015.

Elizabeth Rogers went to be with the Lord on Apr.26, 2015. She was born on April 16, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pa. She met her husband Al Rogers, of 67 years of marriage, at her high school prom. Elizabeth (known as Betty to all), proved to be a multi-talented woman. She played the big bass and sang in her husband’s band at various country music venues in her younger years.

Her other talents were cooking, baking, sewing and arts ‘n crafts. She has always been a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was also a very avid animal lover. She was an excellent homemaker and loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. In her spare time and for many years, she volunteered for numerous organizations such as Meals on Wheels, churches and schools. She won an award for her dedication of 7 years of service to Meals on Wheels in Amarillo, Texas where she lived for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Al Rogers, of Belton, Tx; two daughters, Joanne Anderson, of Ocala, Fla. and Kathy Woods, of Arlington, Tx; three grandchildren, Monica Kornblum of Arlington, Tx; Nathan Woods of Arlington, Tx; Anthony Woods of Fayetteville, Ark; and a sister, Philomena R. Helsel of Verona, Pa. She was a active member of Christ the King Catholic Church and member of their Women’s Ministry for several years in Belton, Tx.
