Elizabeth Dumas Brown of Fayetteville passed away on May 3, 2016. She was born December 5, 1918, to the late Perlas and Janie Lou Dumas of Fayette County.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Lewis Brown of Lincolnton, Georgia to whom she was married on July 3, 1937. Also preceding her in death was a granddaughter Lynn Adams Sweet. A 1936 graduate of Fayette County High School, she participated in her class reunions for 75 years. She was a member of the founding family of Friendship United Methodist Church and served the church in many capacities over her years of faithful service. She and Wayne lived in East Point, Georgia, and Fayette County Georgia for most of their lives together.

She is survived by her children Jeanene Adams, Sandra Christhilf, Gail Ellis (Bob), and Wayne Lewis Brown, Jr. Also surviving are her grandchildren Debbie Lanier, Kelly Adams, Joe Adams II, Cindy Allen, and Jennifer Keehan. There are 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a large extended family.
