Elizabeth “Betty” Coleman, 97, of Hamden, passed away March 8, 2013 in The Arden House after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Harvey Coleman. Mrs. Coleman was born in San Diego, Calif. on Aug. 23, 1915, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kohler Fischer. For many years, she was the owner and operator of Mae Coleman Catering, a well known caterer in the New Haven area in the 1950’s. She is survived by her son, Kevin Bauer of East Haven; a brother, Felix (Dorothy) Fischer of San Diego and one nephew, Dana Fischer.
