Elizabeth “Betty” (Brock) Bialy, 75, of Middletown, beloved wife of Robert C. Bialy, passed away on March 19, 2015 in Florida where she and her husband spent winters in Port St. Lucie. Born on February 2, 1940 in Middletown where she lived most of her life, Betty was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Marion (Ackerman) Brock and was brought up on the Brock Farm.
Betty graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and in 1962 from the University of Connecticut with a Degree in Family Studies. She worked for eight years with G. Fox & Company before leaving to work at Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation for twenty-five years, retiring in 1996. Betty enjoyed her involvement with the 4-H Club for many years, especially the sewing challenges and also enjoyed her feline friends. Along with her husband, Betty is survived by her sister, Mary Ella Hasbrouck and her husband, Frederick; her brother, Richard Brock and his wife, Lilly, all of Middletown; three stepchildren, Bruce Bialy and his wife, Cindy of E. Greenwich, RI, Kimberly (Bialy) Nadeau and her husband, Dave of Newington and Craig Bialy and his wife, Kathy of Loveland, CO; eight grand children; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Weil; nephew, Edward Weil and niece, Joyce Coogan.
