Elizabeth “Betty” Meismer age 105 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 8:35am Monday Jan. 13, 2014 at Snyder Village in Metamora where she was a resident. She was born April 12, 1908 in New Haven, Kentucky to George and Anna (Rapier) Roberts Sr. She married Vernon “Bud” Meismer on Aug. 22, 1944 in Peoria and he passed away on June 17, 2004.
Surviving is her daughter Joann Hosbrough of Metamora; Grandchildren Winston (Debra) Hosbrough of Ridgeville, S.C., Tonya (Brian) Ganson of W. Peoria, James Alan Hosbrough of Pekin, Colleen (Chris) Knecht of Barrington, IL. Rick (Raye) Hosbrough of Metamora, eight great grandchildren and one sister Mary Ann Dilzer of Tucson, AZ.
Son-in-law Richard Hosbrough, great grandson Winston David Jr. four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Betty had worked as a bookkeeper for Hiram Walker and was a cook at Metamora Grade School for many years. Member of St.
