Elizabeth “Betty” Lloyd age 87, of Hammond, formerly of Whiting, IN, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Clifford; daughter, Patricia (John) Posavec; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, five nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her dear daughter, Kathleen (still living, Steve) Franch; sisters, Mary (late, Mike) Kaminsky, Marge (late, Bill) Burns and Anne (late, Arthur) Hofstetter.
Betty was born May 28, 1934 in Sheffield, PA to Mike and Anna (Lishock) Kudroch. She was the youngest of 4 sisters, Mary, Anna and Marge. After WW II the sisters were reunited in Whiting, IN when they were adopted by their older sister, Mary and her husband, Mike Kaminsky.
Betty attended Clark Middle School and then graduated from Bishop Noll High School in Hammond in 1952. In 1953, she met and was married to Richard Coleman, giving birth to two daughters, Kathleen Ann in 1954 and Patricia Lynn in 1958.
In 1981 she was introduced to Clifford Lloyd through her nephew, Don. They were married on October 12, 1982. Betty was a loyal wife, loving mother, irreplaceable grandma and good friend to many. She was affectionately known as Moo Moo and Betts by her granddaughters and will hold a special place in every heart she’s touched.
