Elizabeth “Betty” Crandall, age 86, of Algona passed away on December 7, 2020 at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Elizabeth Louise Crandall, the daughter of Lawrence S. and Edna Mae (Hauptly) Koppen, was born on July 20, 1934 in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from Wesley High School in 1952. On October 12, 1974 Betty was united in marriage with William Joseph Crandall in Algona. Betty loved to volunteer at Kossuth Regional Health Center. She enjoyed dancing and listening to 50’s & 60’s music, traveling to Northern Minnesota, working in her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events. Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her children, Eric (Tania) Wiltgen of Algona and Stacy (Ryan) Dodds of Lone Rock; grandchildren, Jacob Wiltgen, Levi (Niki Jo) Thompson, Logan (Autumn Kramer) Thompson, Alex Dodds, Vanessa (Kody) Trampel and Tyler (Cassidy Wolff) Dodds; great grandchildren, Kayla, Summer, Owen, Lily, Aiden, Jax, Thea, Autumn, Wyatt and Pierce; a sister, Lucille Schmidt of Garner and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill in 2013 brother William Koppen, sister in law Helen Koppen and brother in law Roland Schmidt.
