Elizabeth Betty Boswell, 86, of St. Bernice, died at 6:32 pm August 23rd in Union Hospital Clinton. She was born February 21, 1929 in Edgar County, IL to Emil Chaney and Velma Simpson Chaney.
She retired from CBS in 1981. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6653 and was past president. She loved golf and was a past member of the Geneva Hills Ladies League and many bowling leagues.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bobby Boswell on December 12, 2003; her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Bristow and her husband Louis of Chrisman, IL; four granddaughters, Carla Finley, Kimberly Crawford and her husband Sean, Michele Holvey, Bobbie Hollingsworth Blue and her husband Jeremy; one grandson, David and Andrea Gross of Paris; three great-granddaughters, Whitney and Christofer Colvin, Diamond Blue, and Emma Blue; seven great-grandsons, Derek Peters, Andrew Brown II, James Brown, Frank Hollingsworth, Christopher Hollingsworth, Tristen Gross, and Trenton Gross; one great-great grandson, Leland Brown; three brothers, Victor Chaney of Dallas, TX, Jimmy Chaney of St. Bernice, and Roy Chaney of St. Bernice; one sister, Joan Finger of Blanford.
