Elizabeth “Betsy” Riley, 58, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 21. Betsy was born on September 1, 1964, to Mary and Gerry Riley in Chicago, Illinois. After she graduated from New Trier High School, she went on to study Business at the University of Dayton. Betsy then became a make-up artist at MAC Cosmetics, making people feel beautiful with or without makeup. Betsy not only accepted people’s differences, she embraced them, sharing a smile and kind words with everyone. On June 14, 1998, she suffered a cerebral aneurysm and despite her serious health challenges, she persevered. Betsy inspired and motivated all who knew her and was a shining light, illuminating others.
Betsy was predeceased by her father and grandparents, Mercedes “Hon” and Mervil Comisky. She is survived by her devoted mother, loving sister Molly and brother-in-law Paul Jacus, loyal friend Michael Kramer and dedicated caregivers Katrina Boyd, Jackie Cameron, Annie Crockett, Sandy Gibson, Trina Gordon, Rosemary Semwayo, and Genevieve Wells.
