She was a 1979 graduate of Central High School in Harrison TN and a 1983 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelors Degree. Mrs. Benton was co-owner of United Pump and Controls in Suwanee, GA with her husband and sons.
She was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church, Alpharetta, GA. Mrs. Benton tremendously enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking special trips with her friends and playing ALTA Tennis
