On September 24th, 2022, our wonderful sister, aunt and friend, Elizabeth Osborne, passed away peacefully in her sleep at “her home” in Greeley, Colorado after battling health issues the last number of years.  She was 58.

Elizabeth (Beth) was born in Littleton, Colorado, July 16, 1964. She was the youngest of six children born to Keith and Patricia Osborne.  She had some disabilities that were diagnosed in early childhood & these would make certain times & activities challenging for her.  Being the youngest, following her successful older siblings was frustrating at times and it became more difficult when she watched her nieces & nephews hit the milestones of graduations, jobs and marriage. Although she was the youngest, she was the first in a family that was nervous traveling by air to travel internationally.

Elizabeth grew up and lived most of her adult life in the Columbine Hills community with her parents.  She did move to Greeley late in life and found her “own home” at the Garden Square Assisted Living Facility.  This new community provided her a safe and caring environment, sense of independence and joy that truly enhanced her quality of life these final years.

She graduated from Columbine High School.  She attended Aims Community College and Araphahoe Community College.  She had quite the diverse work experience with long stints at King Soopers and Walgreens but her resume also included Loretta Heights College, Bureau of Reclamation, and Lily Gulch Recreation Center.  It was her last job late in life that she found the greatest satisfaction in when she assumed a caregiver role for her parents and helped honor their wishes to live out their days at home.

Beth grew up with a love of animals, family and sports.  She played on the first girl’s youth softball teams in the Columbine Hills area, excelled in youth swimming & soccer and enjoyed basketball & tennis.  She was a member of the Girl Scouts and 4H.

It is a sad time to lose the youngest of the Patricia & Keith Osborne clan; she will be missed however it is comforting for her family to know that her final season of life she seemed free of any anger about her disabilities and early life frustrations, was very content with the “ Beth” she had found, is free of physical discomforts & pain and now is with those she loved so dearly.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents: Patricia Rae (Johnson) and Keith Robert Osborne and nephew Brian Osborne.  She is survived by her five siblings & their spouses: Pat & Jean Osborne, Mike & Karen Osborne, Janis & Larry Pottorff, Tom & Cindi Osborne, Jerry & Mary Jo Osborne, sixteen nieces & nephews and thirty-one great nieces & nephews.
