On Friday, October 28, 2022, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann D’ Angiolillo, beloved mother, aunt, and friend passed away in her home in Bethlehem, PA. Born on April 10, 1935, she was 87 years young. She was the daughter of the late Irene B. (Gum), and Emery E. Engler. Betty graduated from Nazareth High School in 1953 where she was a majorette in the marching band. She went on to graduate from St. Lukes Hospital of Nursing in 1956. She worked at St Barnabas Hospital in Newark, NJ from 1957-1958; Short Hills Medical Center in Short Hills NJ from 1959-1968; and Miller Blood Center from 1979 until her retirement in 2000. Affectionately known to all as “Betty D”; she left an impression on everyone she met. Making friends out of acquaintances wherever she went. Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, current events, and embraced her Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage. She was a people person, and an animal lover, taking exceptional care of her sweet Bijon Heidi.
Survivors: She is survived by son Marc D’ Angiolillo and wife Lisa of Hoboken, New Jersey; niece Cynthia Woodward and husband Richard of San Diego, California; nephew David Koehler and wife Beth Knickerbocker of Easton, PA; niece Michelle (Miki) Fries of Nazareth; and niece Deborah Shook of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Additionally she has many great nieces and nephews.
