Elizabeth A. “Betty” Potter, 83 of Emmett, died at home, Sunday, December 10, 2017, following an extended illness. She was born May 25, 1934 to Clarence and Anna Reiland Link in Gillette, Wyoming. The Link family lived in Spokane, Kamiah and moved to Weiser in 1943. They moved to the Brownlee area above Sweet in 1946 and to Boise in 1948. Betty graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy in 1952.
She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Gerald Larson and then attended Boise Junior College. She moved to Emmett in 1957 where she taught Fourth Grade at Wardwell School. Betty and Walt Potter were married April 2, 1961.
She is survived by her husband, Walt; son, Mark; one brother, Larry (Pat) Link, of Ontario; a sister-in-law, Theresa Link, of Boise; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Clarence Link, and a sister, Dorothy Fraundorf.
