Elissa D. Nelson, age 36, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Elissa was born March 13, 1982 in Brunswick, Maine to Timothy and Debra (Flaig) Reed. She moved with her family to Wisconsin Rapids in 1984. She attended Wisconsin Rapids Area Schools and Lincoln High School (Class of 2000).
Elissa was employed as a manager in the Dairy Department at Copps grocery store in Wisconsin Rapids and later as a front desk clerk at Americ Inn/Cobblestone in Wisconsin Rapids.
Elissa had a heart of gold, loved her kids, was an AMAZING mom, but still loved to argue with her daughter, Jada. She loved quoting movies, some of her favorites were “Smokey and the Bandit”, “Grease 2”, “Dirty Dancing” and “Dumb and Dumber”. She also loved music.
Elissa is survived by her children: Jada, Maddox and Shelby Nelson; her parents: Tim (Jona McCracken) Reed, and Debra (Timothy) Lee all of Wisconsin Rapids; her siblings: Christopher (Amanda) Reed, Luke (Tasha) Reed, Chelsea (Christopher) Minor, Jessica McCracken, Emily (Heath) Saxon, Trevor (Amber) Reed and Katrina Lee; her grandmothers: Elizabeth “Betty” Flaig and Marjorie Reed; and also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Paul Flaig Jr. and Ralph Reed.
