Elisa Izzo Fusco, 85, of New Haven, passed away Jan. 29, 2017 in Branford Hills Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Luigi Fusco. Mrs. Fusco was born in Lautoni, Province of Caserta, Italy on July 25, 1931, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Angela Izzo. She operated a grocery store on Washington Ave. in the Hill Section of New Haven for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Maria (Joseph M.) Carbone of New Haven; two sisters, Guiseppina Carusone of Lynbrook, N.Y. and Caterina Catone in Italy; four grandchildren, Elisa Carbone Brown, Joseph (Jacqui) Carbone Jr., Donna and Katrina Fusco; six great grandchildren, Jack, Finlay, Hadley, Guiseppe, Nicholas & Harry. She was predeceased by her son, John Fusco.
