Elijah Wesley Herrington, Jr. died August 21, 2024. He was born in Norfolk, VA September 29, 1934, the son of Elijah Wesley and Mildred Parker Herrington. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and attended Mars Hill College Mars Hill NC. In 1960 he made his home in Manassas and was employed by VDOT for his working career.
He was married on June 27, 1964 to Frances Prince Tune of South Boston who survives him. Also surviving him are sons Mark Wilson Herrington, his wife Diane, grandchildren Daniel, Emma and Kelly; and James Wesley Herrington, his wife Paula and grandson Owen; as well as a brother, Eldridge Leroy Herrington, of Chesapeake, VA.
