Mr. Eligha Washington Sr, age 70, a native of Alma, AL and resident of Gainestown, AL was born Feb. 28, 1950 to the late Mr. Leo Washington Sr. and Hattie Lou Washington. He departed this life at his home on July 7, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Washington was a member of Gainestown AOH Church of God in Gainestown, AL. He was a retired logger and he loved singing and hunting. “Sack” “knock down” and “chicken hair” as he was affectionately called, he was a friend to everyone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Leroy and Otis Lee Washington, three sisters; Willie Real Jackson, Bertha Mae Hunt and Ida Mae Jackson.
He leaves his precious loving memories to his devoted wife, Thelma Washington of Gainestown, AL.; children; Eager (Kathy) Washington, Eligha Washington Jr., Steve Washington, Kenny (Martine) Washington; two sisters; Callie (Clarence) Robinson, Rosa (Tacoya) Foxx, two brothers; Leo (Ethel) Washington Sr., David Washington all of Gainestown, AL., his grandchildren; Shakisha, Iquan, Karlleena, Mickey, Raven, RJ, Amire, Devontae, Keymontae, LaKenny, Tyrese, Tykeria, AuRiah, TyAsiah, Vynesha, Kylee, Karlee, Rodney, DJ, Camaria and Radarrian; great grands; Karlise Kaleb, Brynnlee, Linsley, August, Devontae Jr., Zyon, and Keshawn; devoted brothers-in-law; Tecoya Foxx, Travis Jackson, devoted cousin Johnetta Pritchett. Someone who he loved Kamae Retic and LeQuitaking, his devoted sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
