Eliette Jean was born Nov. 29, 1960 in Dezeaux. She is the second child of Madame Tico. She has the following siblings: Norma Asse, Rolande Dulorie Valentin, Gary Dulorie, Martine Ives, Henri Dulorie, and Marc Eder Clerphond. She has five beautiful children with her previous husband Lorius Jean: Reginald, Kerlandia, Edwin, Elorie, and Elizabeth. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Madison, Elaina, Phoenix, Elijah, Taylor, Miles, and Mavrick. Unfortunately, she will not be able to meet the last two, but she was very much honored to have known, that her second oldest was baring twins. People, who knew Eliette, knew how much she loved children. Her occupation was to love and care for others. She did God’s work by always extending a helping hand to those in need. Her home was everyone’s home. She could and would cook for a village if need be. One of her best qualities was being able to find the light in any dark situation.
Your presence today sheds light on how much she has given back to the community, and we thank you all for your support. Your love and prayers are greatly appreciated. I’m sure she is looking down on us, smiling as we speak. Most of you know that Eliette had been fighting a terrible disease called cancer. She fought this disease until the end, but she did not let it deter her from her goal.
She had accepted Jesus Christ as her savior that is why we are able to rejoice today. Although her physical presence will be missed, her spirit will always remain with us. Again, words are not enough to express our appreciation to you all for coming. In English we say, “Thank You”, in creole we say “Merci.”
