Elias L. “Dodo” Rendon Jr., was called to his eternal home on Friday July 8, 2016.
Elias was born July 1, 1953 to Elias “Coney” Rendon and Jessie Lopez in Mesilla, NM. “Dodo” as he was fondly known to his family and friends went to live with his paternal grandparents, Monico and Seferina Rendon at the age of three, and remained there for most of his life. First they were taking care of him and then in later years, he was taking care of them. He eventually moved to Las Cruces where he remained until his passing. Elias enjoyed dancing, joking around, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He was outgoing and never met a stranger. He will truly be missed by many.
Survivors include his paternal grandmother, “mom” Seferina Rendon, his brothers, Michael C., Danny and Armando Rendon, Robert Morales; his sisters, Cecilia “Chila” Saavedra, Yolanda Kinnerup, Rosie Doherty, Yvonne “Bonnie” Arellano, Jennifer Morales-Cruz and their families, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Elias “Coney” Rendon, his paternal grandfather, Monico Rendon, mother Jessie Lopez, brothers, Mike and Michael A. Rendon and many other family members.
