Elias Mendoza, 59, of Newnan, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Monday February 23, 2015 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born on August 25, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1980, he married his beloved wife Gladys Cardona, and together they had two children, Christina Victoria and Jonathan Felix. Elias attended Anthem College in Orlando, Florida, where he received the Program Manager Award and completed his internship at the University of Central Florida. He worked as an X-ray technician at the Heart of Florida Hospital. He served as an active member in his local church. His passions included spending time with his family, playing the drums, and watching movies. He was known for his sense of humor and his investment in the lives of others. He will be greatly missed.
Eli is survived by his wife, Gladys, his children and their spouses: Christina and Niels Hoogkamer and Jonathan and Ginger Mendoza, and his two grandchildren: Evangeline Daniella Hoogkamer and Micah Elias Mendoza. He is also survived by his parents, Reverend Felix Mendoza and Maria Felicita Mendoza, his siblings: Jaime R, Mildred, Israel, Deborah, Rebecca, and Maria Esther and was predeceased by his sister Rosa Maria.
