Mr. Whidden is survived by his beloved wife, of 67 years, Ruth Whidden; sons, Charles Whidden and his wife, Patsy and Allen Whidden; daughter, Becky Ball and her husband, David; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild on the way.
