Eleodoro Jose Febres Arias, 79, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart Meadows on Tuesday, December 25, 2018.
He was born on January 21, 1939, in the country of Peru, South America, to the late Eleodoro Febres Cardenas and Berenice Arias Rosas.
He is survived by his daughter, Eleana (William) Johnson of Mesa, AZ and his two grandchildren, Jaiden and Summer Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Eleodoro was a professor of Hispanic literature and cultural studies at Indiana University for many years prior to his retirement. He was very fond of traveling and loved to visit his home in Peru whenever he had the chance. He especially loved visiting Machu Picchu on his travels. Eleodoro also enjoyed watching soccer and had been an accomplished author who had his poetry translations published in a book entitled, Heraldic Cries of Survival.
