Eleanor Marie Philpott Winchester, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 3, 2017, at her home. She was under the care of One Source Home Health and Hospice.

Eleanor was born August 10, 1939, in Windsor, California, to Edwin Earl Philpott and Helen Mae Sinclair Philpott Lingo.

On December 19, 1959, she married Jack Lamar Winchester in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced.

Eleanor always had a craft or project going. She looked forward to each day and always hoped there would be no pain. She had multiple health problems. She moved from Santa Rosa, California, where she lived for the past 47 years to be closer to her daughters, son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She knew life was getting closer to the end and she didn’t want to be alone. She loved her 10 grandchildren and her 15 7/8 great grandchildren. They shared unconditional love for her.

She always prayed to have eyes to see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, and mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith in God.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Marie (Jerry) Moreau of Ucon, ID; daughter, Rhonda Lynn (Gary) Starnes of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kevin Winchester of Blackfoot, ID; brother, E. Alan Philpott of Clear Lake, CA; brother, Earl G. (Nellie) Philpott of Angwin, CA; sister, Sarah L. Lingo of Santa Rosa, CA; brother, Glen Philpott of Fort Ross, CA; 10 grandchildren and 15 7/8 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Socks.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Earl Philpott; her mother, Helen Lingo; brothers, Wilbur Philpott and Delbert E. Philpott; step-father, Joseph Wilson Lingo; half sister, Mary Lou Lingo; step-brothers, Mach Henderson Lingo and Billy Jo Lingo.
