Eleanor Benhart, age 91, of Mt. Morris, formerly of Roselle, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at her daughter’s home in South Elgin, with her loving family by her side.
She was born December 5, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Herger) Steigerwald.
As a young woman, Eleanor was invited to join the Women’s Minor League Baseball Team, but instead chose to get married to the love of her life, Leonard, on July 29, 1950.
She is survived by her children Pam Radzun of South Elgin, Donna Benhart of Mt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Wally, Rudy, Martha, Frieda, Roy, grandson Garret Mensching, son-in-law Bill Radzun, and her devoted husband Leonard who passed away in 2019.
