Eleanor M. Smith (nee Mitchell), age 87 died Wednesday October 1, 2008 at the Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro.
Mrs. Smith was born in Shiloh, NJ and was a longtime Burlington resident. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Broad St. United Methodist Church in Burlington for over 77 years, she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Beverly-Maqueda Chapter for over 55 years.
She was a past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her spare time, Eleanor especially enjoyed doing cross stitch and needlepoint and was a member of the Colonial West Jersey Embroiders Guild of America. She was predeceased by her parents Josiah and Helen R. (nee Colkitt) Mitchell and her husband Walton C. Smith who died in 1978.
She is survived by her daughter Bernice E. Smith as well as several nieces and great nieces and nephews.
