Eleanor M. (Messick) DeWalt, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at home. She was the widow of Donald A. DeWalt. They were lovingly married for nearly 58 years.  Eleanor was born on April 5, 1941 in Bethlehem to the late John and Pearl (Field) Messick.

Eleanor worked for Bethlehem Lynn Sports Wear, which later became Paris Accessories, for many years before retiring. She was an active member of West Side Moravian Church, where she participated in women’s fellowship, senior friends and had served on various committees and sang in the choir. She was also a member of King’s Daughters. More than anything, Eleanor was a kind, compassionate and gentle woman who enjoyed music and books but loved spending time with her family most, always putting them first.
