WENONA — Eleanor M. “Ellie” Nolan (nee Gibbons), 85, was born to eternal life on Friday (Sept.
She married Patrick Nolan on May 30, 1952, and Wenona was Ellie’s home for many years.
She was the devoted and selfless mother to Nancy (Al) DiCastri and Nora (Chris) Bigley, proud and encouraging Granny to Erin, Vincent, Danny and Jimmy, darling sister of Patsy (late Joe) Durham, Tim (Mary Lee) Gibbons, Sister Marian Gibbons, and Gerrie (Tom) Ryan. She was the sister-in-law of Bob (Annmarie) Gruba, Margaret (John) Havlis and Celine (late Raymond) Summer. She treasured her nieces, nephews and many dear friends, especially her best friend, Nancy Healy.
She was preceded in death by Patrick Nolan; her parents, Earl and Margaret Gibbons; stepfather, Patrick Dwyer; brother, James Charles Gibbons; and sisters, Jiddy (late Pat) Healy, Alice Gruba, Kate (late Roger) Windorski and Andrea Nolan; and brother-in-law, Gerald Nolan.
