Mrs. Eleanor Johnson, 86, of Lanett, AL passed away on Wednesday evening, February 7th, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center Lanier Nursing Home.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Larry) Miller and Shirley Claybrook, both of Lanett, AL; her seven grandchildren, Christy (Scott) Stephens, Robbie (Tammy) Johnson, and Derrick (Joanna) Miller, all of Valley, Amy (Jody) Antley of Lanett, AL, Jason Duck and Jackie (Angela) Duck, both of Valley, AL, and Chris (Cheryl) Duck of Atlanta, GA; her seven great grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Dakota Antley, Faith Stephens, Pacey Duck, Cohen Price, Noah Antley, and Cade Duck; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pearl Bennett, her brothers, Herman Bennett, Edward Bennett, and Herschell Bennett; her sisters, Mary Fulghum, Earline Prestridge, Bobbie Jean Langley, Cleo Gordon, and Dora Holloway; her great granddaughter, Emilee Antley.
Mrs. Johnson was born on July 17th, 1931 in Randolph County, AL. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. She had been a lifelong resident of the Valley area and had been in declining health for the past five years.
