HAVERHILL – Eleanor (Joe) Atwood, 84, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 22, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
Mrs. Atwood was born in Haverhill on May 9, 1929, daughter of the late Alfred Gilbert Joe and Laura (George) Joe. She attended Haverhill schools. After High School, she married the love of her life, C. Robert Atwood, who passed in 2000. On the day of her passing, June 22, was their 66th wedding anniversary.
After marriage, they started their family while both working for his family’s grocery store, Atwood Bros.
