Eleanor Irene Bishop
Eleanor “Ellie” Irene Bishop, 77, of Caldwell, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Saint Alphonsus Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ellie was born January 3, 1933, in Riverside, California. She was one of five children born to Clark and Gertrude Simmons. She married Wayne Bishop on September 18, 1968, and together they enjoyed making everywhere they lived a beautiful place for their children, grandchildren, family, and friends to enjoy.
Ellie was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. With her gentle spirit and love of life, she was a constant caregiver to all of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, as well as her children, Ric and Deborah Woolery, Gary and Cari Woolery, John and Marcy Bishop, Rick and Liz Bishop, all of Caldwell, Idaho; Debra and Smoke Hatfield of Salmon, Idaho; Pat and Randy Warren, Calvin and JoAnna Bishop of Meridian, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Charlie Gamble of Billings, Montana; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Betty Simmons of Kaiserville, California; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and brother, Chester Simmons and sister, Laverne Carpenter.
