Eleanor Hempel Hill, of rural Jacksonville, died January 20, 2018. She was born October 6, 1930, the daughter of Earl and Augusta Carlson Hempel.
She was married to Jack Elliott, Urban S. Abel, and Edward Hill, all of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Elliott and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia McNeely.
Mrs. Hill was employed by J. C. Penny, Production Press, and Four Rivers Special Education District for 20 years. Besides Jacksonville, Mrs. Hill resided with husband Edward Hill in Hoffman Estates.
