Eleanor A. Dodillet, 94, of Centralia, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Odin Healthcare Center. She was born August 13, 1924 in Jefferson County, daughter of Samuel G. Baldridge and Cora A. Baldridge. She married Norman W. Hake and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1970.
She married Theodore E. Sigrist and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1993. She later married Raymond “Ray” Dodillet on July 8, 1995 and he preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters: Linda Hake Spaet and husband Robert of Granby, Colorado and Marsha Haake and husband Roy of Hoyleton; four grandchildren: Nick Haake and wife Lindsay, Evan Spaet, Joseph Haake and wife Jamie, and Erika Spaet and husband Tom Curtis; five great-grandchildren: Jadyn, Lilly, Oliver, Jameson and Jenna; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, two brothers: Stanley Baldridge and Donald Baldrige, a sister: Opal Armstrong, two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Baldridge and Vera Baldridge, and a brother-in-law: Roy Armstrong. Eleanor grew up in Jefferson County on her family farm. She graduated in 1941 from Woodlawn High School. Following her graduation from High School she was employed at the Hollywood Candy Company in Centralia, then worked at the “Red and White” Grocery Store in Irvington, she then worked for 10 years at the Irvington Grade School as a Cook, and she served as a cook at the former Countryview Manor in Irvington.
Eleanor was a member of the Irvington United Methodist Church in Irvington prior to joining the Friedens United Church of Christ in 1950, where she was an active member serving as a Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Irvington’s Woman’s Club and a charter member of a Pinochle Club consisting of a close circle of friends for over 60 years. For the last 6 years of Eleanor’s life she lived at the Heritage Woods of Centralia, where she made many good friends.
