Eleanor C. Bean, 79, was called home by the Lord on September 15, 2021. She was the daughter of Florence (Buckley) and James Dick of Malden. She was born in Medford on October 8, 1941. Eleanor was educated in Everett and moved to Danvers in 1964. 
Eleanor was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is predeceased by her younger brother Kenneth, a proud Vietnam veteran. She leaves her other brother, James Richards and his wife Linda, of North Andover and her sister, Barbara Flood and her late husband Jack, of Rowley. 
Eleanor was the mother of 4 children. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Bean.
Eleanor had a strong faith and was a long-time communicant of St. Richard Parish in Danvers. She was a very generous and giving woman. She handmade thousands of rosary beads which she sent out all over the world to different parishes, missionaries, and groups. She even taught rosary-making to the students at St. Mary’s School in Danvers. She also made and donated winter hats to the homeless. Eleanor loved her family and her animals. She loved her dogs Emma and the late Nora. Eleanor had a great sense of humor and quick wit which you could count on to make you smile and a true Irish temperament. She was very proud and honored to be an Irish American.
