Eleanor Belle Ridenour, 72 of Tunnelton, WV, Birdscreek Road, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Preston Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born on May 28, 1942 in Newburg, daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Opal Brewer Boylan. Eleanor graduated from Newburg High School in 1960. She was a homemaker. Eleanor loved spending time with her family, crocheting, camping, reading the bible and playing softball. She was an avid bowler until her health no longer permitted, was a 4H Leader and a member of the Christian Evangelical Church. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert Jackson Ridenour; three children, Jocelyn K Ridenour, Howesville, Brian K Ridenour and Paula, Newburg, Regina L Travinski and Greg, Morgantown; six grandchildren, Sasha and Josh Plotner, Jessica and Shawn Howard, Harley Ridenour, Samantha Ridenour, Jacob Ridenour and Justin Travinski; one great-grandson, Landon Plotner; one special granddog, Halbug; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ordane Ridenour, Tunnelton, Clinton Ridenour and Dolly, Kingwood, Herb Stevens, Tunnelton; Phyllis Bolyard and Paul, Rowlesburg, Lucille Funk, Reedsville; Deborah Cox, Monongahela, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel L Boylan Ridenour, one sister-in-law, Clara Stevens, one brother-in-law, Kenneth Funk.
