Barb (Eleanor) Barbier Allred, passed away on December 20, 2012 at Pioneer Care Center. She was born January 29, 1916 in Lake Andes, South Dakota to Fred and Harriet LaPoint Barbier. She was the first born of his second family.

She was raised on her fathers farm and remembers riding horse to herd cattle and help with the farm. She attended Lake Andes High School, and was chosen as homecoming queen. After school she worked for a year for an aunt who then paid for her to attend nursing school at Bismarck Nursing School in Bismarck, ND.

After graduation she was employed at Winnebago Indian Hospital in Nebraska. Later she got a job in Tacoma Washington, where she eventually met her husband, Gale F. Allred, who was stationed there. They married in Dillon, Montana on October 2, 1945. To this union were born twins, DeeAnn and Diane, Yvonne and Ann. During the early years of marriage they lived in American Falls, Idaho, Pocatello, Idaho, and then settled in Brigham City, Utah.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, her twin daughters, parents, brother Pierre Barbier and sisters Marjorie Keeler, Irene Banta, Katherine Pippin, in-laws, Floyd and Laree Allred, Frankie Andrews, Jack Allred, Betty Neeley, Margaret Mitton, son-in-laws C.A. Hall and Clayton D. Bull, and great granddaughter Mackenzie JoTanner and Alisha Hall.

She is survived by daughters Yvonne Hall and Ann Bull, granddaughters Cross Tanner, Lori Woodward, Wendy Sandberg, Heidi Sharp and Manda Bull and spouses and by step- grandchildren Brad Hall, Brennan Howes, AdriAnne Cooper and KaraBeth Santillion and 16 great- grandchildren with one on the way.
