Eleanor Arnett Blevins, 89, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, June 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Blevins was born in Washington County, Virginia to the late James Fletcher Arnett and Lelia Scott Arnett. She was naturally a caretaker and retired as a Supervisor with Dorothea Dix Hospital where she cared for patients for 30 years. Mrs. Blevins was a lifelong member of Blackwell Chapel United Methodist Church in Meadowview, Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and the love she showed her family she showed everyone she met. Her presence will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Blevins is survived by her children, Tammy Stallings & husband Travis of Zebulon and Jerry Blevins of Raleigh; grandchildren, Michael Reams of Franklinton, Matthew Reams & wife Bobbi of Wendell and Joshua Blevins & wife Aspen of Youngsville; great-grandchildren, Makayla McLamb, Sage Stallings, Madison Reams and Carly Reams; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Smith Blevins; daughter, Theresa Diane O’Neal; siblings, James “Bud” Arnett, George Arnett, Anita McNew and Bill Arnett.
