Eleanor Ann Teeter, 88, of Pomona Park, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at her home from natural causes. She was a native of Clewiston, FL, and had moved to Detroit, Michigan where she attended Our Lady of Mercy School, graduating June 10th, 1951. While still a student, at the age of 17 Eleanor began her professional career working as an administrative assistant to Emeril Fisher, owner of Northwest Chevrolet and Fisher Body Company. At this location, she met her future husband Lloyd G Teeter, and married at age 21 at The Shrine of the Little Flower in Detroit, Michigan.
Eleanor and Lloyd moved to California after their first son Tim was born in Detroit in 1956. Soon after, they all moved to St Petersburg, Florida where son Franklin was born in 1957. Daughter Mary Lynn soon followed in 1959. Eleanor worked as a bookkeeper with T.K. McKenzie Construction Co. actually built her own home at 550 – 59th Lane in St Pete. Eleanor then became comptroller for Consolidated Foods for many years, and also ran her own accounting business in St Pete.
Eleanor eventually moved to Putnam County in 1980 with her family. She was a devout Catholic and was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Crescent City. In her leisure time, Eleanor enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the “Grasshoppers” team in Palatka. In her work time, she performed SBA loans for many businesses in the area, being very proud to assist the entrepreneurs of Putnam County.
She is preceded by her husband of 51 years, Lloyd George Teeter, and siblings, Edward Von Mach, Margaret Dougherty, Corrine Hayes, and Sue Regan.
She is survived by her children, Franklin E. Teeter, Mary Lynn Guarino (Jimmy), and Tim Teeter (Grace), and grandchildren, Marie Michelle Teeter, Nicholas Lloyd Teeter (Laura Lind), Zachary Ryan Teeter (Stacy), KateLynn Teeter (Brandon), Megan Lorraine Canfield (Brandon), Kristin Jennifer Wray (Troy Deal), Tracy Leigh Wray (Josh Jimenez), Clarissa Alta Wray, CJ Wray, and Kyle Austin Teeter.
