He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, James Eric Smith (Barbara) of Goldsboro, N.C., Keith DeCarlo Smith (Rosalyn) of Johnsonville, N.C. and Vanessa Ann Smith, Spring Lake, N.C.; two brothers, Edward Smith (Maggie) and Lonell Smith (Rebecca) both of Cameron, N.C.; one sister, Evelyn Weathers of Cameron, N.C.; five grandchildren, Kitara Smith, Colin Smith,Dishan Smith, Danielle Smith and Ashley Smith; one great grandchild, Kyrielle Elysia Smith; three godsons and a “special daughter”, Candy Williams of Fayetteville, N.C.; four sisters-in-law, Maudline Pratt of Cameron, N.C., Ethel Lee Lucas (Alexander) of Spring Lake, N.C.
