Elder Donald Earl Crowe was born on June 27, 1949, to the parents of Milton Crowe and Mamie Oden Crowe in Talladega Springs, Alabama.  Elder Crowe accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Friendship Baptist Church and later received the Holy Ghost and united with Truelight Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in 1973. 

Elder Crowe received his formal education at Talladega Springs School and later attended Phyllis Wheatley High School, Childersburg, Alabama.  After completing school, Elder Crowe was employed with Georgia Marble Quarry.  He later took a career change and became a Professional Logger until his retirement. 

Along Elder Crowe’s life’s journey he met a beautiful African Queen and united in holy matrimony to Ms. Rosetta Johnson on April 14th, 1969.  To this union five children were born.  His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and singing.  With his passion for singing, he created a gospel group called, Bad Boys of Alabama. Elder Crowe was a devoted, hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and friend. 

Elder Crowe departed this walk of life on October 15th, 2022, under the care of Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Mamie Crowe, daughter, Amelia, grandson, Antwan, Jr., one brother, George Crowe, four sisters, Mary Parker, Louise Faye Brown, Doris Averitte, and Leola Crowe, mother-in-law, Hattie M. Johnson and other relatives.

His love will forever be cherished by a loving wife of 53 years, Rosetta Crowe; sons, Sanford (Debbie) Crowe, and Pastor Antwan (Tiki) Crowe; daughters, Wendy (Pastor Curtis) Burton, and Tiffany Crowe; ten grandchildren, Victor (Jessica) Crowe, Kendra Swain, Dasia Crowe, Alvin Burton, San Swain, Jr., Amelia Crowe, Latavius C. Johnson, Lamya Johnson, Datwan Crowe, and Shardasia Crowe; two great grandchildren, Jay L. Swain and Oakleigh Johnson; four brothers, Pastor Marvin (Beverly) Crowe, James Crowe, Pastor Howard (Betty) Crowe, and Larry (Teresa) Crowe; two sisters, Shirley (Ben) Ware, and Gurthie Jackson; two sister in laws, Betty Johnson, and Lou Ann Whetstone; a special son, Cedric Averitte, special cousin, Glover Roston, Sr., special friend, Herman Huntley, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
