Okeechobee – Elda Ochoa Gancerez died July 15, 2021. She was born October 18, 1958, in Missouri to Erasto Ochoa and Maria Teresa Venezuela. A resident of Okeechobee most of her life, she was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired after 18 years of service with the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office.
Mrs. Gancerez is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mando Gancerez; daughters, Armanda Gancerez (Emo Palmerin), Amy Gancerez (Gume Laredo), and Angel Gancerez (Carlos Gonzales), all of Okeechobee; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Ochoa (Diane Sain) and Edgar Ochoa, both of Okeechobee; and sisters, Elia Ochoa, Estela Ochoa, both of Okeechobee, and Elma Ochoa, of Delray.
