Elbert A. “Drew” Kuritz, 67, Ringgold, Ga., died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in a local hospital. He was a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, but had been a resident of North Georgia for the past 22 years. Drew was a well known area salesman best known as the “Purseman” and was affiliated with Tootsie Hair and Nails. He was a Christian, Russian Orthodox and was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Harris Kuritz. Survivors are his wife, Tootsie Kuritz; son, Nickolas (Beth) Kuritz, Chattanooga; daughters, Natasha Kuritz, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Amy Lee Franklin, Ft. Oglethorpe, and Tracy Michele (Michael) Morris, Ringgold; brothers, Harold (Juanita) Blanton, Atlanta, Ga., Rev. John (Emily) Kuritz Jr., Pensacola, Fla., and Charles (Janet) Kuritz, Spring Hill, Fla.; sisters, Emelia Beizer, Hampton, Virginia Nancy (Jim) Peck, Navarre, Fla.; grandchildren, Abbey Kuritz, Brockford Alexander Franklin, Savannah Macy Franklin, Taylor Vance and Robert Crant; step-children, Sarah, Josh and Michael.
