Elaine (Bruck) Warren, 94, of Ottawa, died July 11, 2014 at the Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Streator.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at the Mueller funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will follow at the Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from I to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Elaine was born on February 2, 1920, in Ottawa, to August and Rose (Schomas) Bruck. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. Elaine worked as a clerk at McLellan’s, Hornsby’s, Spurgeons and Handy Foods. She married Fred Warren. Elaine belonged to Women of the Moose. She loved fishing, attending sporting events of her grandchildren and her dog and cat.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Ellen (Jerry) Geiger, of Ottawa and Jeanne (Dr. Hunter) Davis, of Ottawa, 4 grandchildren; Kallie Krug, Brandi Patterson, Dr. Brent Sonday and Jason Geiger and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, Jerry Geiger Jr., 3 sisters; Dorothy Menton, Cora Rastatter and Emma Rossiter, 6 brothers; Edward, Frank, Joseph Poutre, Walter, Harold and Vernon Bruck. Pallbearers will be Devin and Jason Geiger, Kallie and Bill Krug and Jud and Taylor Krug.
