TOOMEY
Elaine E. Toomey, retired First National Bank of Commerce Secretary, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the age of 79. She is survived by her sister, Sister Joan Toomey, M.M. of Maryknoll Sisters, Ossining, New York; first cousins, Sister Noel Toomey, O.P.; Regina A. Cairns (Ian); and Melanie Ader. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Warner Toomey and Joseph John Toomey.
Elaine was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, St. Mary’s Dominican High School, and attended St. Mary’s Dominican College. Her interests included, attending the New Orleans Rose Society Meetings, traveling to Mexico, China, and regularly to Europe where she would travel for a month.
At the time of her death she was a resident of Woldenberg Village where the kind and excellent care of the staff helped her feel at home. .
