Elaine Rose Sabin, 77, of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully from an extended illness on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Chubbuck, Idaho.Elaine was born Elaine Rose Wetzel on December 14, 1938 in Boise, Idaho. She lived a short time as a child in Fruitland, Idaho and later graduated from Boise High School. As an adult, she worked as a comptroller for Boise-area automobile dealerships and later worked (and loved) her job with the Caldwell School District.Elaine is survived by her children, Dalene Szymanski (Chubbuck, Idaho), David Phelps (Ontario, Oregon), two step-daughters, Wanda Phelps (Idaho City, Idaho) and Shirley Sterner (Boise, Idaho) and by her brother, Larry Wetzel (Boise, Idaho). She is also loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well.Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandparents. She was also preceded by a daughter, Dana Nelson, in will always remember Elaine’s smile, her warmth, her energy, her zest for life, her passion for art, and her love for her family and friends. Her talent for oil painting stands as an incredible reminder for many of us. Elaine was also known for her hard work and the difference she made in many family would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you to the amazing people that allowed her to enter her rest with Jesus so peacefully.
