Elaine M. Marquiss, age 81 of Hope died Friday April 13, 2012 at Brittany Manor after a battle with liver cancer. The daughter of the late Ira and Nina (Timmons) Manges was born on July 20, 1930 in Midland.
On August 14, 1951 she married Stanley Marquiss. Elaine loved traveling and enjoyed Branson, Missouri and Florida. The month of August was always devoted to camping and salmon fishing at East Lake Camp Grounds in Manistee. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and also attended the Hope Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanley Marquiss; son, Randy (Dawn) Marquiss; daughter, Luann Russell; grandsons, Barry, Brett and Adam Marquiss; brother, Bernard (Pat) Manges; sisters, Marge Cundiff and Karen Rolley; and brother in law, Bill Horning.
Elaine was predeceased by her son, Roger Marquiss.
