Elaine M. Thudium (nee McCluskey), 90, a 57 year resident of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on August 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late J. David Thudium, and beloved mother of John M. Thudium (Kristen) and Mary K. Sherwood (Michael).
Mrs. Thudium was born May 3, 1932 in Grand Falls, NB Canada where she grew up, and was a daughter of the late W. Everett McCluskey and Esther McCluskey (nee MacDonald). She worked 14 years as an operator with the telephone company before she married her husband on June 2, 1962, then a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, and later with Trans World Airlines. Mr. and Mrs. Thudium moved to Ridgefield in 1964, where they raised their two children, and were members of St.
In addition to her two children, she is survived by four grandchildren, Christopher and Kaylee Sherwood, and Grace and James Thudium, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her late husband, she was predeceased by her parents and her seven siblings.
