Elaine M. Greenamyer, age 97, of Salem, Ohio, died at 4:25 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born August 13, 1915 in Washingtonville, Ohio, the daughter of the late William T. and Nancy (Anderson) Bell. Elaine last worked in childcare at the YWCA, and was a cashier for 20 years at the Salem Centennial Pool. She and her husband had also operated the Quaker City Mink farm for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 70 years, and a member of the Salem Elks Auxiliary. Her husband, Donald L. Greenamyer, whom she married September 22, 1934, preceded her in death March 9, 1992. A son, Dr. Donald R. Greenamyer; a granddaughter, Shelly Patterson; and two sisters, Irene Hum and Ruth Pasco also preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Wilson of Salem and Nancy Nutter of Salem; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
